I was interested in the construction of a small piece alluding to the characteristics of a collector: the anxiety, the perseverance, the pertinacity and the audacity. Hearing the work we see an obstinate collector of stones. He is seeking rare stones near the beach. He walks on the stones. Because he is barefoot he feels pain.

O Colecionador De Pedras Descalço was composed in March 2008 at the LIEM (Laboratorio de Informática y Electrónica Musical) in Madrid. The main materials were recorded by Jens Hedman: “sounds of moving stones” and “sounds of wild sea”.
