Based on the experience of how convincingly Thomas Meixner, Boris Müller, Dirk Rothbrust and Achim Seyler can convey rhythms and contexts of meaning only with their hands and eyes, I decided to do without instruments this time. All that was left was a Gore-tex jacket, as it is omnipresent on the streets today. These jackets are also acoustically present with every movement, but we overhear this. During my many years of working with the Schlagquartett, I have been fascinated again and again by their differentiated approach to the creation of rhythms: by the wealth of possibilities offered by articulation. In this piece, one basically only hears wiping sounds that are varied and reinterpreted by subtle changes in articulation. The piece was created in close collaboration with the Schlagquartett Köln and is written for them.
