The biblical scriptures from the Old Testament about the trumpets of Jericho (Book of Joshua, 6) evoke the sonic power of the trumpet and the violence of rivalry in human relationships. Recent political events can shed circumstantial light on this text. These events inspired my choice of materials, but one should not interpret this work as a justification of violence or the expression of political beliefs.
