Résonances d’arabesques

Stéphane Roy

Résonances d’arabesques has been performed in Birmingham, Brussels, Montréal and San Francisco…

This “implacable” three minutes is a pointillism of variegated shades, of sinuous melodic contours accompanied by a nervous hiccough in the low register. An ephemeral landscape punctuated by fragile and unpredictable arabesques, anxious about their existence before an inevitable end.

Stéphane Roy [xi-90]

Résonances d’arabesques was realized with the Syter digital interactive system at the <GRM and was constructed at the studio Ondes (Montréal, Québec). This piece was composed with the assistance of the ministère des Affaires culturelles du Québec.
